OBJECTIVE
The design team was tasked with redesigning the company’s career page in order to draw in more applicants for the open positions. Our goal was to create a page that thoroughly illustrates the value of working at Cie Digital Labs that will attract top talent whose values & goals match the culture we provide to employees.
USER INTERVIEWS
A UX designer and I conducted 12 internal interviews with employees from each department so that we had data from a representative sample. We asked various questions to assess what they value most in a company & career, what their ideal company culture is, what their perception of our own company culture is, and how they would describe our company if it was a person.

DESIGN PILLARS
Based on the interview data, I created specific design goals that I then translated into design execution opportunities that would illustrate how our company supports top career values mentioned by employees such as culture, career growth, and testimonials. This way, as a design team, we had a clearer idea on how we could achieve each design goal through the content, messaging, and UI elements of the page.

USER PERSONA
I also used interview feedback to create a user persona to represent goals of potential users that may visit our site in hopes to apply. The goal of the persona was to put the stakeholders in the position of the user with their goals in mind; in this specific case, a potential applicant.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
Additionally, I looked at other creative digital agency websites and evaluated how they illustrate career growth opportunities, company culture, benefits, etc. and scored them on a simple rating scale (1= their website doesn’t exemplify, 2= their website does exemplify – in a standard way, 3= their website exemplify – in a creative, memorable way). This was presented to our team along with screenshot examples at the beginning of our ideation session.

IDEATION
Using the research findings, the design team and I collectively ideated on how we could execute each design goal in a way that would engage applicants in a fun & memorable way and motivate them to apply. After our ideas were doodled down on paper, we presented each idea, discussed them, and voted on our favorites.

WIREFRAME
After the ideation session, I reviewed the ideas that received the most votes from the team and sketched out potential layouts of the career page that thoroughly encompassed each element. From there, I created a wireframe (below) that included various UI features that would then be passed onto the visual team and translated into the following webpage design for our company site: http://www.ciedigital.com/careers/.
